One of the things that sets our installations apart from our competitors is we use poured concrete pads, six inches thick, three inches of stone wire, reinforced.
They will not fail. Our competitors use what's known as a gen pad or a preform pad that they can bring out on site to do a quick installation.
In this video, I'd like to just share a little bit about the different types of generators, different sizes, and the RPMs that they run at.
Um, so this particular unit is a 20 KW on propane and it is 18KW on natural gas. It runs at 3600 RPMs
and is ambient air cooled, also known as air cooled generator. Um, it doesn't have any any freeze, it just uses the ambient air round it.
Today's video, I wanna talk about maintenance services and having the proper tools to do these maintenance and services. So having the proper volt meter, multimeter battery tester, which is extremely important to make sure the battery is, uh, ready to go charged and, uh, has a proper cranky amps.
All right, so in today's video I wanna talk about transfer switches. There are several different types of transfer switches.
Um, the typical transfer switch we use in residential applications are made to go inside or outside. Um, so they're what's called NEMA three R weatherproof.
At Mid-Atlantic generators, we use OEM parts whenever possible on our air. Cool generators, we use only the manufacturer's oil filters
because there's too many variables and potential missteps. When cross- referencing those filters, the internal makeup of those filters does vary.
